Tregenna Castle Resort is accessible by car from Trelyon Avenue and also by foot through a woodland path at the west of the estate.

Our aim is to provide all of our guests with a pleasant, relaxing environment and an enjoyable, memorable stay. We are happy to welcome ‘one and all’ and provide easily accessible areas to our resort and facilities.

  • RECEPTION

    The Reception is accessible to our guests 24 hours a day. It is available for our guests to drop off and collect mail, packages or even car rental keys.

  • MOBILITY SERVICES AND HIRE

    We have a wheelchair on site for the use of our guests and also have a facility whereby we can arrange a wheelchair through St John’s Ambulance, for a small donation to that charity. We can also arrange for the rental of more substantial mobility equipment should the need arise.

  • DOG POLICY

    Unfortunately, we have a strict ‘no dogs’ policy, on the estate. Dog walkers are permitted to use the public right of way only and dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Our ‘no dogs’ policy on the estate includes leaving dogs inside of vehicles for any duration of time. An exception to this policy is made for service dogs.

  • ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES

    The hotel is reached off of Treloyan Avenue (A3074) through our main gate then down a majestic driveway and along a stunning approach, from which the hotel almost explodes into sight.

    There is ample parking at various sites around the hotel, totalling in excess of 200 places. In front of the hotel, there are 11 places with 5 accessible parking spaces for blue badge holders. The main car park is to the rear of the hotel with many more spaces beside the tennis courts and near to Castle Village (one of our self catering complexes). There is a drop off and turn around space in front of the hotel to afford easy access to the main reception area.

    Access from the main car park is on the same level as the reception area and is lit. Access to the hotel is available 24 hours a day as is access to the reception desk. Although we do not have any formal porters we are happy to assist any of our guests with their baggage to and from their rooms. As we welcome coach bound groups, we do provide a porterage service upon request.

  • MAIN RECEPTION AND ARRIVAL

    The main entrance is at the front of the hotel through double doors that open upon a welcoming corridor which is approximately 5m wide and 30 m long. The oak floored corridor is tastefully lined with comfortable chesterfields and tropical ferns. It is also in this area that free WiFi is available. The Reception area, which is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, is carpeted and brightly lit, with additional seating to provide a warm welcoming sensation.

    Upon check in, the Reception staff will provide you with all the information that you would require for your stay including meal times, the location of dining rooms, The Brasserie, leisure centre, parking locations and even a short cut walking route into town. Stationery, Bibles and extra keys are available upon request. You will also be provided with a map of the estate, and a map of St Ives should you require one.

    Potential guests are welcome to come and view the grounds, rooms facilities or self catering properties, should they wish.

    There is an elevator, located just off of the main Reception area, for access to our rooms located on the upper floors.

  • ROOM FACILITIES

    All of our bedrooms are en suite with wheelchair access, have flat screen plasma televisions with remote controls and telephones with an option for an outside line. The rooms also have tea and coffee making facilites. We have 15 rooms that benefit from beautiful views of the town and St Ives Bay. Of our 80 rooms, 33 are geared towards families of various sizes, some with separate rooms and others with bunk beds. All of the rooms are situated within the Hotel allowing easy access to the Reception desk, bars, restaurant, The Brasserie, leisure centre and indoor pool.

  • SELF CATERING

    There are 70 self catering properties located individually and in groups, around the estate. They range from three, four, and five star one bedroom cottages to four bedroom lodges. All of the facilities such as Tregenna Leisure and the pools are included with self catering rental.

  • RESTAURANT, BAR, FUNCTION ROOMS AND PUBLIC AREAS

    The main body of the hotel is a two-storey structure dating back to 1776 with additions from the early and late 1800s. It is in this portion of the hotel where the bulk of the public areas are located, just off the main corridor.

    There are also public lavatories, a baby change area and a disabled friendly lavatory located just opposite the main Reception desk.

    The Brunnel Lounge is a comfortable, quiet place to sit and read or enjoy a beverage or even watch a little television. It also provides access to The Trelawney Room, which is the main dining room. The Trelawney Room is a large, brightly lit function room with an attractive Victorian Cornice style ceiling, easily capable of seating 250 people. The Godrevy Room is on the opposite side of the main corridor, and is sometimes used as an additional dining room, should the need arise, but its primary use is for functions. It is capable of seating up to 70 people and is also bright and airy with Victorian cornice ceilings.

    Further down the main corridor is The Lounge Bar where you can enjoy soft drinks, tea or coffee, or one of many alcoholic beverages whilst relaxing.

    Just a little farther along and you will arrive at The Brasserie where our guests can purchase designer coffees, teas and other beverages from 11:00 hrs. From 12:00 until 21:00 hrs guests can purchase world cuisine using local produce. Some of the window seats have fantastic views of the grounds and the bay. It is through The Brasserie that you can reach the outside patio, and wine and dine al fresco in the spring and summer. The Brasserie provides a children’s menu and there are also vegetarian options available. Throughout the main building, situated along the central corridor, are comfortable chesterfields and wing back chairs where you can relax, or perhaps log on to our free WiFi.

  • LEISURE FACILITIES

    Tregenna Leisure is situated on the lower ground floor and comprises of a comprehensive gymnasium with running, rowing and cycling machines, indoor pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. There are two entrances to Tregenna Leisure, one floor down in the elevator from the main Reception, or directly from outside on the perimeter road. The entry from the perimeter road is down a flight of steps, so would not be suitable for disabled users.

    The dimensions of the indoor pool are; 40ft x 20ft with a maximum depth of 4ft. There is also a Jacuzzi and children’s pool situated in the indoor pool area. There is wheelchair access to the pool area from within the Trelawney Room.

    The changing rooms and showers are located in the gym area and are accessible by wheelchair. The steam room and sauna are on the same level as the gym and are accessible to wheelchairs.

    Tregenna Leisure also boasts three paved tennis courts, indoor badminton court, indoor squash court and a croquet lawn. Table tennis is also available.

    The heated outdoor pool is located just beside the hotel within easy reach, overlooking the town of St Ives and the north coast of Cornwall. The outdoor pool is open from Whitson through to the beginning of September between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs. There is a children’s pool with a fountain situated in the outdoor pool area.

    The dimensions of the outdoor pool are 50ft x 25 ft with a maximum depth of 4.5ft. The outdoor pool is supervised during its opening hours. Wheelchair access to the outdoor pool is restricted but can be accomplished. Items such as goggles, swim suits, and arm bands can be purchased from the Leisure centre reception. All of the Tregenna Leisure staff are qualified to administer emergency first aid and CPR.

    Tregenna Castle Resort is privileged to have a par three 18 hole President’s golf course surrounding the grounds, with magnificent views of the countryside and bay. It is a ‘pay and play’ course and club hire is available.

  • CONFERENCES, FUNCTIONS, AND WEDDINGS

    There are two main function rooms, The Trelawney and The Godrevy rooms. The Trelawney room is capable of accommodating 250 people seated and is used for large conferences or functions. The Godrevy room is used for functions up to 90 people.

    Both the Trelawney and Godrevy rooms are on the main level, carpeted and easily accessible to wheelchairs. Tregenna Castle Resort is also licensed to host civil marriage ceremonies and has proven to be a wonderful venue for hundreds of weddings over recent years.

    An overhead projector, television, DVDs and flip charts are available for functions and conferences.

  • CASTLE BEAUTY

    Castle Beauty offers a variety of treatments performed by our professional therapists, including Thalgo facials, Thalgo body treatments, Holistic treatments, waxing, manicures and more. Special Spa day packages are also available to residents and non-residents alike. These can be booked directly through Castle Beauty or through the Reception desk. Castle Beauty is open from 09:00hrs seven days per week, in the high season and five days per week during the low season. Castle Beauty is accessible by wheelchair.

  • LAUNDRY

    There is a laundry room located on the lower ground floor, right beside the elevator, opposite the reception to Tregenna Leisure. There is also an iron and ironing board located in the laundry room. Laundry detergent is available from Tregenna Leisure reception. The laundry room is accessible by wheelchair via the elevator. There is also a launderette and dry cleaning facilities in St Ives.

  • OUTDOOR FACILITIES

    Situated within the exceptionally picturesque 72 acres of the estate are many interesting things to see and do. There is an invigorating woodland walk that takes you around the perimeter of the estate, past streams, a waterfall and over grasslands. Whilst following the route, keep an eye out for some of the wildlife that resides on the estate, such as the red fox, badger, green woodpecker and wild rabbits. There is an enclosed children’s play area, croquet lawn, tea lawn, tennis courts and outdoor pool and more.

    If you want to walk into St Ives, there is a scenic path through the woods that is lit at night. This will take you to the main road into town in five minutes. From there it is no more than a ten minute stroll to the town centre, beaches, and shops. Just off of the perimeter road is our walled garden, housing sub tropical foliage and a lovely pond, with an area to sit and enjoy the surroundings and relax.

  • ADDITIONAL INFO

    Our aim is to meet the needs and requirements of all of our guests, and provide an ideal environment for their enjoyment as is possible. We will happily endeavour to meet our guests' dietary needs and cater to special requests, given notice. We will safely store our guests' valuable property and medications which have been deposited or offered for deposit, for safe custody. A copy of the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956 can be found at Reception.

    We have many on duty staff that are fully qualified in emergency first aid and CPR, in each department. As well, all management have been versed in emergency evacuation procedures. All fire exits are clearly marked, evacuation route plans and assembly points are posted throughout the hotel.

    The Housekeeping staff fully appreciate privacy and will respect the wishes of our guests at all times.
